[ ABOUT ]
    I'm Kate. I'm 20 years old, female, and I'm from New Jersey. I work as a waitress, otherwise I draw incessantly, occasionally write things, and fiddle with webdesign. I have mild interest in becoming a tattoo artist, illustration, and several other art-related careers, but otherwise I have no idea what the hell I'm really going to do with my life. I draw mostly anthros and werewolves, and I'm working on my people. A lot of my art centers around a loose fantasy world called Gehenna, which is pretty much a "third afterlife." It has inspired several stories, art, and detailed characters. I am not a furry, a therian, otherkin, or whatever you might call someone who seriously considers their alter-ego an animal. "Stormy" was my online persona for a really long time, and though I am now mostly "myself" I still use Stormy as an internet handle and something of an alter-ego. There are plenty of other places you can find out about me specifically if you so desire.

    When I comment, I typically attempt to give some sort of constructive criticism, whether it's to the finished image itself or potential reoccurring areas of weakness in an artist's work. As artists, we should strive to improve our art, and I am no different from the rest. I love to receive comments that offer advice, criticism, or other helpful hints. Naturally, I appreciate compliments, from detailed ones to simple "good work " type comments, and I do my best to return comments if you've taken the time to offer some.

    This gallery houses the widest variety of my stuff, which means pretty much everything. However, I've been here six years; VCL has years of art on this place and those were some of my most productive years. So if you want to check out my older (and crummier) stuff, you can head to VCL. That being said, it is a totally uncensored gallery for the most part, and you might find something you don't like there, but I probably didn't need to tell you that. I also offer a limited range of stock photography over at my other account; feel free to use those for whatever projects you have in mind.

    Anytime, unless otherwise noted with virtually no restrictions on content. I'm fairly cheap—a finished, full-color, full-background commission probably won't run you over $30, and $30 is for something crazy complicated. I can accept paypal, mailed check, a dA subscription, or concealed snailmail cash as payment. Pricing is done on a piece-by-piece basis; final price depends on how complicated, how much you want in it, how many characters, the amount of detail within the piece, and what medium it is in. Commissions are finished in accordance with your cooperation—I will scan the sketch, inkwork, and color in progress and wait for your confirmation before working on the next step.     Pretty much anytime, unless otherwise noted. No restrictions on content. I'll trade for art, webspace, and pretty much anything useful to trade on the internet. Hell, I'm not averse to drawing you a picture for something you box up and snail-mail me. E-mail me for more info. As far as requests go, it depends—if you have a genuinely interesting idea you would like me to draw, sure. If you have an interesting story and want some concept sketches, sure. I also like drawing different, varied characters occasionally, so it's worth a shot if you're broke.
